Healthcare Coverage Review

An in-depth discussion with our HN professional to hear your concerns and determine if your existing plans are providing you and your family members with sufficient coverage to give you the protection and peace of mind you deserve. We discuss both you current and future situation. We also review the optional support services that are available through HN.

Concierge Consultation Services

Your Healthcare Management is an ongoing challenge! We work with you and your family members to provide personalized, objective advice regarding your existing healthcare coverage or alternatives and options which address your concerns. This is particularly important when someone has been diagnosed with serious illness. We also assist individuals and families to understand coverage alternatives and options when they face a transition in coverage. Many life’s events like leaving a job, retirement, moving or becoming eligible for Medicare affect healthcare coverage. Other transitions like college graduation, divorce or death of a spouse also affect healthcare coverage and require anticipatory planning so that we can help you make the best decisions regarding your healthcare coverage.

Insurance and Claims Management

This is an on-going service to hand-off to HN the burden and hassle of dealing with your health insurer, medical providers and medical paperwork. As an example, we will:

  • Maintain your personal information in our secure data base. We will be the depository for your coverage, physician, and pharmacy information so that we can assist you;
  • Secure releases necessary due to privacy regulations to represent you;
  • Provide large, secure postage paid envelopes for you to forward medical bills, statements, and other correspondence;
  • Respond to telephone inquiries regarding bills, claims, preauthorization or other general questions throughout the year;
  • File claims, as necessary, and generate appropriate reports.
  • Review all materials, confirm accuracy, and follow-up on open items;

Project and Disputes

We represent clients in significant disputes. This service is designed for clients who have a specific, significant problem such as denial of chemotherapy, large unanticipated medical bills or inability to obtain preauthorization for a medically necessary service. Healthcare Navigation will represent the client at appeal hearings, analyze/negotiate large medical bills, or undertake other work, as appropriate.
